SmartGWT V2.4
The enum values of translation item "date_shortDateFormat" and "date_shortDatetimeFormat" is: toUSShortDate toEuropeanShortDate toJapanShortDate In face, not only japan but also China and Korea all uses "YMD" date format, so I suggest that the enum value "toJapanShortDate" change to "toEastAsiaShortDate". And I didn't find "toJapanShortDatetime" in SmartGWT V2.4 source code, but if this item will appear, I hope it will be "toEastAsiaShortDatetime". Last edited by abent; 26th Jun 2011 at 14:12.. |

In Hungary we also use this format, so by this logic it should be called "toEastAsiaAndHungaryShortDate". But this doesn't seem to be useful (especially if there are more countries with this date format), I'd much rather stick with the current "toJapanShortDate".
