<Mail> template and UTF-8

Hello,
Using: (SC_SNAPSHOT-2012-02-27_v8.2p/PowerEdition Deployment 2012-02-27)

Using a Mail-template here with the <mail> tag in a .ds.xml operation binding. I want it to be sent in UTF-8, since some special chars are in it.

The file (both the .ds.xml and the template.txt) are in UTF-8.

Is there some other thing I need to check?

Weird thing is that special chars in the subject WORK (which is hard-coded in the .ds.xml), but special chars in the template.txt are mangled/shown incorrectly.

Any thoughts?

We didn't see a problem like you describe, but it could be that various mail systems don't handle characters correctly unless you explicitly set UTF-8, so we've changed 3.1d to do so.

Thanks. Does it mean the encoding will be configurable or will it always be UTF-8 (which for me is fine by the way)
