RoR and SmartClient

I don't where I have to extract the files to install SmartClient 6.5.1 in RoR.

I going to use the SmartClient in Stand Alone mode.

We have done a symbolic link in public to the directory where we have extracted the isomorphic libaries, and it works ok. is this correct?
