I created List Grid with two columns with Button as record component in both the columns. After pressing tab from any of the Button the next Button gets the focus but it is immediately lost.. I have examined the same problem in your Gridcellwidgets example in the showcase.

Google Chrome 5.0.375.125,
Windows XP.
