I just read in the FF146 release notes, that there have been some improvements to zoomed rendering ("Firefox now natively supports fractional scaled displays on Linux (Wayland), making rendering more effective.").
This is the FF bugzilla bug. Perhaps this fixes some of the issue here, or perhaps you need to test for regressions. Just to let you know.
