Evaluation version's home call

When loading a page which contains an application using SmartGWT EE Evaluation version, an image is loaded from smartclient.com, called something like versioncheck (I do not remember clearly.)

I guess this is some kind of tracking / checking of the deployed version, maybe related to being an evaluation version.

My question is, what happens if the app is deployed on an intranet, with no external internet access? How will this influence things?

Only related to the Eval version. A licensed deployment will not do this.

Right now, despite of having a Power license, I am using the nightly build of the evaluation version, so the question is still the same.
