Unable to install SmartClient 8.1 Evaluation on Windows XP

I followed directions up to the point where they said to copy the 'isomorphic' folder under my 'webroot'.

I don't know where this is on my machine.

I am a newbie to some of this. I just want to get it working so I can prototype my application.

Any help would be appreciated.

[Isomorphic]

"webroot" is a standard term meaning the first web-accessible directory in a project or deployment. For anyone to tell you where this is, you would need to describe what you are installing SmartClient into.

However you don't need to know anything about webroot to run the server and start experimenting - see the README in smartclientSDK, you just run a .bat file.

I appreciate the note about webroot, and your confidence in me to experiment. I have taken your advice and plunged ahead. So far I have created a new hsqldb with some of my tables and been able to start an app in VisualBuilder with one of them that shows the fields as columns. It was a wonder to behold.
