I am using the embedded server but, the tools and some of the examples will not work. I have the following error in the logs:

Looks like possibly a bad install of Tomcat where there is more than one copy of certain basic servlet-related .jars in the classpath.

Thank for the clue but, after reading the thread you provided, the solution did not bite me. Any other hints? Some things do work. The "hello world" works but, not the demo app or visual builder. I know apache is installed and working on the box. Is there an issue having it and the embedded tomcat on the same system?

      Thanks !

Assuming you just unzipped and ran start_embedded_server.bat without making any other changes, the only thing that could really go wrong is if you modified the JDK / JRE on your system to put in some extra copies of .jars.

To verify this you might run start_embedded_server.bat on another machine to see it working.

Yes I just unzipped the files, set JAVA_HOME then ran start_embedded_server.sh (I installed it on centos). I'll punt and try it on a windows PC. Thanks for the help.
