    Open Source contained in 7.0RC2

    Hi Isomorphic -

Is there anyway I can access a listing of all open-source software used in your 7.0RC2 server-side components?

We are interested in using your server-side components, but we must first understand the licensing impact with our deployment and our customers.
We are currently using, and licensed for, your client-side technology.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hi Matt,

You can see all the libraries that each server-side SmartClient component uses in the "Java Module Dependencies" section of the Deployment Instructions.

In smartclientSDK/WEB-INF/licenses, you can find the licenses for each library. They are all Apache 1.0/2.0 with the exception of Hibernate, which is LGPL, but is only used if you use the optional HibernateDataSource connector

Note that you do already have a license to use the server side of SmartClient (at the Pro level), but for some reason your legal team is afraid of these OSS libraries. Hopefully someone technical can explain that these are ubiquitous libraries containing techniques that have been in use for 15-20 years (eg, command-line argument parsing), and not likely to be the source of an IP lawsuit.
