    Going iPad...

    Hi...

did setup an S'GWT 2.3 [Pro] project and a Cocoa wrapper (UIWebView). Things look good at first sight, some questions anyway:

    (1) The SC provided w/ the 2.3 Pro is of version 7.0. From Sanjiv's Blog I would expect Version 8. Please enlighten me

    (2) In your 2.3 Announce there are some remarks like 'ong-session mobile & touch applications... and especially for offline mobile applications'. Is this straight-fwd or do some things to be considered?

    (3) Also in this Announce you tell us about simulation of iOS-specific behavior. Where can I find what widget which advanced behavior support and how this must be enabled?

    (4) Generally, is there some White Paper or specialized Doc addressing Mobile support?

    (5) What's the state with that new GWT Wrapper esp. designed for mobile Apps*, based on SC [Server]? I'm ready to do Beta testing... is this wanted/needed?

    BR,

    Ekki

    * not necessarily in the sense of iOS

    * GWT Rocks! * SmartGWT Rocks Even Harder! * GWT 2.0.3,
    SmartGWT PRO 2.3/2.1, JRE 1.6.0_20, Eclipse 3.6 *

    1) you've asked this before - same answer - ignore SmartClient versions in SGWT packages, they aren't meaningful. We will announce if they ever become meaningful

    2) please re-phrase, can't tell what you're asking

    3 & 4) take a look at this overview

    5) we will announce when it's ready

Do I need to take care of that mobile aspect at all, or not?
(Obviously, Apply push, Settings issues, etc. are beyond the scope of this question)

Take care of what mobile aspect? Offline? If so, then what aspect of offline - data, static resources?

Maybe some Googling to get a basic grounding is in order - try "html5 manifest" for starters.

Dunno... you mentioned this in the 2.3 Announcement. But let's stop this. Will figure out by myself. Thread over.
