PickTreeItem empty message in german?

Hi,

I'm using an IPickTreeItem in SmartGWT 2.4. Everythings works fine.
Except, I can't set the displayvalue in German, if nothing is selected.

It keeps on displaying "Choose a value".

setEmptyDisplayValue( "something" ) doesn't work either.

What am I doing wrong?
Is there an entry in SmartGwtMessages.properties for that?
