SmartGWT 2-5 - ListGrid Mass Update example

    SmartGWT LGPL (2011-05-12 nightly)
    IE6/Firefox 3.6/Chrome 11
    WindowsXP/Linux

Using the ListGrid Mass Update showcase example, I cannot delete the entire contents of a cell and exit the row. Doing so results in the original contents being displayed in the cell.

But, I can modify the cell (leaving at least 1 character), exit the row, then re-modify the cell and delete the entire contents.
The same behavior can be seen in the Feature Explorer of SmartClient_SC_SNAPSHOT-2011-05-12.

    ...
Also with version 2-5, I am not able to see the contents of the Result tab in the Developer Console. The tab window is blank.

Neither is reproducible. It sounds like you have some kind of damaged installation (especially if your Developer Console isn't functioning). Redo the upgrade procedure, clear browser cache, then retest. If this still doesn't work, you probably want to build a new project from scratch to get back to normal.

That's very strange. I just downloaded the nightly build of smartgwt-2.5.zip on a computer that has never seen this application before. I unzipped it, executed the index.html from the showcase war directory. Opened the Mass Update example in Safari and FireFox (3.6) and immediately see the problem.

I also download the new SmartClient_SC_SNAPSHOT-2011-05-13_LGPL, unzipped, launched start_embedded_server, ran the SDK Explorer ..., ran the example and see the exact same behavior.

I cleared the cache, numerous times in both browsers.

I guess I'll wait to see if other users have the same experience.
I do not see this behavior at all in version version 2.4.

I thought that the DevConsole issue might be caused by something else.
I am not able to reproduce the issue on this new computer.

      Thanks for testing it anyway.

Ah - we've reproduced it and added a fix.
        Try the next nightly build

        Thanks for the heads-up
