I need to start working toward a release of my product. The stability of the nightly builds has been pretty challenging. I'd like to ask what the best approach is:
1) Go with 2.4 - the stable build. Although as soon as I tried it I hit this: http://forums.smartclient.com/showthread.php?t=15229 - if I understand the 'fix' is to use a nightly build.
2) Stick with a single date of the nightly build. This is sort of what I've been doing. There may be issues, but I know them and I write workarounds. For this reason, it would be really useful if there was an up to date public issue tracker - this one is far from complete and lacks build dates: http://code.google.com/p/smartgwt/issues/list
3) Ride the nightly rollercoaster. This has been pretty time consuming. I know the solution is more automated testing to make this process easier, but it still requires a pretty involved QA session each time I apply a new release.
I do understand that since I did not pay for support, I'm not eligible for hotfixes. Do you create patches or fixes for release versions like 2.4 - aside from nightlies?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
