Any way to patch view state problem in older build?

We recently went into production with our app using SmartClient Version: SC_SNAPSHOT-2011-06-03/PowerEdition Deployment (built 2011-06-03).

We allow users to save their grid settings and restore them to support different views, but we've discovered a bug. Once the view state has been set, if the user then tries to rearrange the columns, the column heading moves but the rest of the column remains where it was.

We've since upgraded to SmartClient Version: SC_SNAPSHOT-2011-08-02/PowerEdition Deployment (built 2011-08-02) in our development branch and the problem appears to have been fixed. However, we can't upgrade to this newer build in the production branch without considerable regression testing.

Is it possible to get some sort of "patch" to apply to the older release to fix just this one bug?

We don't provide patches for nightlies (just releases), but if you think it's worth it, it's possible to do this yourself by identifiying which build fixed the problem and looking at source code diffs.
