need help to Upload text file and display on text area

I am trying to upload text file and display in text area in dynamic form in smart gwt framework. I think I assumption is that I can use upload item to choose a file and have a button(upload) to handle uploading file and display on text area, may upload button submit the form to server. I need help to find out is my assuption is right and also how can I do that as I am very new to gwt and smart gwt.
