Filtering a tree, Highlighting matches

When I enter "Demo" in the filter of the navigation tree of the SmartGWT-Showcase, then the first word of "Demo Application" is highlighted with a blue background (looks like a textmarker).

How can I use such filter highlights in my own application?

PS: I saw that http://forums.smartclient.com/forum/...-search-filter is a similar question. Has there been any progress? Is the feature still "unsupported" and "hard-coded"?

The situation remains the same - you can use our code in the Feature Explorer as a starting point, or use Feature Sponsorship.

The code is "unsupported" only in the sense that you can't ask questions about this implementation as if highlighting search hits was a built-in framework feature. However the example implementation does not rely on unsupported framework features.

Likewise "hard-coded" refers only to the fact that visual appearance is specified in the JS code instead of a CSS style. It is not otherwise hard-coded and is easy to change.
