As mentioned earlier, those gaps are by design, to mark the locations corresponding to the axis labels. However, they should only be in Area charts, not Line charts. We see the behavior you mention for Line charts and are investigating.

We've made a fix to resolve issue #2 to SGWT 5.0p/SC 10.0p and newer. It should be in the nightly builds dated 2016-03-31 and beyond.
