When making a custom Dialog using the default Dialog buttons (e.g. Dialog.YES, Dialog.NO, etc.), the canonical methods are not fired when the button is clicked.
According to the documentation for DialogButtons:
I've attached a standalone test case, which is a modified version of the Dialogs Sample from the showcase.
