Can we use the default "Confirm Discard Edits" dialog somehow?

I have a button that "archives" the selected records in a ListGrid, but before doing so I want to ensure that there are no outstanding changes. I would like to use the default dialog that is used when the user tries to filter the ListGrid and it informs the user that "This action will discard all unsaved edited values for this list."

Is there a way to do this? We'd like to use the default dialog just for consistency across the application.
