    Timeline and selenium tests

    Hallo,

    I want to test a Timeline in selenium tests. I get an exception, when I try to select an event by waitForElementClickable:

    Code:

    I think, the problem is in this code:
    Code:
            // substring param really just used for logging
            getChildFromFallbackLocator : function calendar_getChildFromFallbackLocator (substring,
                                                                             fallbackLocatorConfig)
            {
                var type = fallbackLocatorConfig.name,
                    config = fallbackLocatorConfig.config;

                if (type == "eventWindow" || type == "eventCanvas") {
                    var viewName = this.mainView.getSelectedTab().viewName;     <================= Here
                    if (viewName == "day") {
                        var children = this.dayView.body.children;
                    } else if (viewName == "week") {
                        var children = this.weekView.body.children;
                    }
    this.mainView is a TimelineView and there exist no function getSelectedTab() for a CalendarView.

    Yes, you're right - if multiple CalendarViews were available, mainView would be a TabSet, with one tab for each view. We'll let you know when it's fixed.

      This is fixed back to 5.0 - you try out the fix in builds dated September 4 and later.

        Sorry, but this is not the whole solution. If the viewName is "timeline" the event isn't found:

        Code:
                    if (type == "eventWindow" || type == "eventCanvas") {
                        var viewName = this.getCurrentViewName();
                        if (viewName == "day") {
                            var children = this.dayView.body.children;
                        } else if (viewName == "week") {
                            var children = this.weekView.body.children;
                        } else if (viewName == "timeline") {                                  <=====================
                            var children = this.timelineView.body.children;              <=====================
                        }
        When add the two lines, it works. Please add this change.

        Peter

          We've done something similar - it will hit builds tomorrow.
