Some events in a calendar are not displayed

Hallo,

in a certain constellation a event is not displayed in a calendar. You can reproduce the problem in the "24h based Calendar" example in the showcase.

1. Create an event "aaa" from 02:00 to 03:00
2. Create an event "bbb" from 03:00 to 04:00
3. Create an event "ccc" from 03:30 to 04:30
4. Create an event "ddd" from 03:00 to 04:00

=> the event "bbb" disappeared.

We are using "v11.0p_2016-11-22/Pro Deployment", but the problem exist also in SmartGWT 5.0 and 5.1.

We're not seeing an issue by following your instructions, in any version or any sample.

Are you manually creating the events in the UI, as your steps suggest, or providing them as data? Is it a specific date that you're creating events on?

Do you see the problem in the online version of that sample? (this one)

Which browser and version are you seeing this in?

I create the events in the Ui.
- Double click in the background
- Click "Edit details" in the event window
- Setting start and end date and the event name
- Clicking "Save Event"

But the problem is same when the events are provided as data. It exist in IE, Chrome and Firefox and every day I have tried.

This overlap issue has been fixed in 6.0 and 6.1 for builds dated November 30 and later.

Hi Isomorphic,

did you also see the positioning problem with the existing events in the same sample? It is there just by opening the sample in Chromium 54, IE Edge, FF26.
The problem goes way (events are positioned correctly) if you scroll the calendar down.

Yes, we did see that - it's an artifact of the Showcase viewer itself - we'll look at addressing it in the coming weeks.

When the version is created? The last version is from2016-11-25.

Is it possible to get the fix in SmartGWT 5.0.

Some upgrades are underway on our autotest and autobuild mechanisms - things should settle down in a day or two.

It isn't really feasible to port this change back to 5.0, unfortunately - it's too intrusive for a long-stable version.

Didn't you upgrade to 6.0 anyway, earlier in the year?

It's OK for me. Some customer of us old versions of our software build with SmartGWT 5.0. They have to update.
