getPrintHTML formatting with HeaderSpans

The formatting of getPrintHTML ( or showPrintPreview ) seems broken in certain cases. I see incorrect printHTML when the first field of a grid is not included in a headerSpan, but other fields are included in a headerSpan; see attached: grid.jpg. The outputs of getPrintHTML and showPrintPreview are also attached. I'm using the 3.1d 10/03 nightly build.
