Clear Selected ComboBox Item on iPhone

On iPhone with Safari, once an item in ComboBox is selected, how to clear the selection if user would like to clear the selection?

In current implementation of ComboBox, on iPhone once an item is selected, there seems to be no way to clear the field? Is there a way to work around this so that the field can be cleared?
