Interesting. We're glad you found a workaround. If you do get bitten by this again, please show us a test case we can try on our end (a simple entry point class we can drop into an existing SGWT project is ideal) and we'll take a look

We encountered this same problem (with 4.0) and removing setShowAllRecords(true) fixed it for us too -- thanks ect!

We also tried to create a test case but had no luck -- couldn't figure out how to break it outside of our app. Sorry :(. Only thing we didn't try was using a remote datasource in the test case (we do in our app), but I can't see how that would be the culprit. If we do ever find a way to reproduce, I'll let you know.
