Is SmartGWT compatible with java 11 ? I understand this also depends on GWT, so do you have any information on this ?

From January 2019 there will not be support for java 8, and support for java 9 and 10 is already finished. Will SmartGWT support Java 11 and if yes, when is java 11 support planned ?

For SmartGWT, the GWT project (not us) is in control of supporting new versions of Java. As of the 2.8.2 release, it is currently possible to compile GWT code with Java 9, although support for language features and libraries continues to be partial.

In general, for our server-side libraries, you will be able to use the latest released Java version if you are using the latest release of SmartGWT / SmartClient.
