IntegerItem validation changes value

On the Showcase live site today (Jan 18 2013) using Chrome 24:

To reproduce:
Enter 999999999999999999999999999999999999999
Click Validate
Value changes to "1e+39"
Click Validate again
Error now says "Must be a whole number"
