Hello Isomorphic,
I just wanted to switch from SMART GWT 3.0 (latest patch release) to 3.1 (latest patch release) and experienced serious performance problems in the Development Mode (running with the GWT Maven plugin as well as with the GWT Eclipse plugin).
Apparently, after searching the forums, I've found several threads dealing with this or similar problems.
For example, there seems to be a problem with the Canvas.getMember(s) method, see: http://forums.smartclient.com/showthread.php?t=23159
And with the Canvas.getChildren method, see: http://forums.smartclient.com/showthread.php?t=22945
Therefore my question: Will this Development Mode problem be addressed in 3.1 with a new patch release or the upcoming 4.0 release? Because, as it is now, SMART GWT 3.1 is not usable for us and we can't upgrade our SMART GWT version to use the new features.
Best regards,
Henry
