Can select month and year in DateItem with keyboard

Hi,
I'm using SmartGWT 3.1p-2013-03-06. Testing keyboard navigation through the components, I found a problem with the DateItem component. When I open the calendar picker and navigate with tab and select the month with space or enter(see screenshot), a popup opens with a list of months or year. The problem is that it is not possible to select one of the month or year with keyboard and there's no way to navigate in the popup or to close it.

This widget is not keyboard navigable because, for non-sighted users or users not using a mouse, it's an inferior form of input relative to just typing in the date.
