    Also, we have explicitly tried to give the following format in the ds file as shown below but it returns an empty CSV.
    We're not reproducing an issue with empty CSVs being returned. Try posting the server logs for the request (please remember to always do this).

      Ok. We will post the logs.

      But can you please confirm that whether we can change the format at runtime, once it has been defined in ds.xml. If yes then, please let us know, how this can be done.

        In general, a server-side DataSource definition cannot only be changed at runtime by providing a DynamicDSGenerator (see QuickStart Guide, Server Framework chapter, first section).

        We're not sure why you would want to change the format on the fly - that doesn't make much sense, unless it's related to internationalization, but if so, that is also already covered in the documentation - see the Internationalization overview and play close attention to the section on internationalization for .ds.xml files.
