Don't worry guys, you will see a GWTRPCDataSource (perhaps not that exact name) with docs and examples. In the meantime, realize that you can integrate a DataSource with existing GWT-RPC services - this thread posted today has a good sample although he still needs to fix something. The approach shown there provides support similar to what GWT-Ext had. The GWTRPCDataSource will go further.

Roadmap with date
Is there a roadmap with date and functionnalities for SmartGWT ?
The GWT-RPC integration would greatly help those like my developpers who were using gwt-ext. Also Entreprise (Professional) version like with SmartClient would be a dream realized.

SmartGWT Enterprise Edition was announced to arrive very soon a while ago. So I just wanted to ask if there are any updates on the time plan for the release? It is important to me because I need the more advanced data sources very soon and if it will take too long until the release I'll have to look for a workaround (like REST) in the meantime.
