Import from excel?

What is the recommended approach to import data from an excel sheet?
Should I use an external library or is there some smartGWT component for this?

Using smartgwt 5.0p power.

Hi edulid,

there is the Batch Uploader in 5.0 (with significantly more features in 5.1).

Otherwise, perhaps excel copy&paste might also work for you. I did not try either options (Batch Uploader a little bit) so far.

Blama is correct, BatchUploader is a good approach via conversion to CSV.

If you for some reason have the need to work directly with Excel files without exporting to CSV first, you'd need a third-party library for that step.
