It is written that this method does must not be used for RPC calls.

Iso or Sanjiv if you get through this thread may you tell me/us why we should proceed on an other way ?

That warning is meant to refer to SmartClient RPC calls. GWT-RPC calls are fine.

I'm trying to adapt this to calendar events also.. how did you use this do you call this update function from user entry on a calendar?
