    SmartGWT Designer

    Hi,

    Is there any designer available for smartGWT (such as instantiations for GWT) or is there any plan to introduce smartGWT desiner?

    It's part of advanced license models beyond LGPL and PRO version but, honestly, SmartGWT is that much powerful and declarative - both on the data and the UI side, just have a look at the Showcase samples code, I'll never ever use any Designer in the case of SmartGWT. I still don't trust UI designers... they read code, make something and then write code. Sounds great but for non-trivial, dynamic applications this cannot work 100% due to Turing Halting problem. But to get into a Toolkit and for easy, static UIs why not... I used GWT Designer before I switched to SmartGWT and am not convinced at all... For now and for ever I don't miss any GUI Designer!
