How to set focus in formitem when clicking on formitem title?

Hi,
I have the requirement that a user can click on the title of a form item and that then the form item input should receive the focus.

I checked but afaics the standard api does not provide a way to accomplish this.

Are there other ways I can get this done (for example embed the formitem in a layout and let the layout.click handle it)?
