Customizing the samples to connect to mysql database

I am using Eclipse IDE to customize the sample applications found in the Power installation folder. I get the error: Transport error - HTML code: 404 for URL: http:127.0.0.1:888/customds/planOperations.rpc when I try to connect to mysql. I am using a Connection created using the Admin Console and a DataSource created in the Visual Builder. Please advise
