itemClick fired on double click on tab header?

Hi,
For a tabbar in a tabset I implement the itemClick and itemDoubleClick methods. I noticed that the itemClick method is also called when I double click a tab header. Is there a way to prevent this so that a double click only fires/calls the itemDoubleClick method and nothing else?
