Saving portallayout

Greetings,

I'm using V 8. There doesn't seem to be a way to determine how a user has configured the portalLayout so that I can save it. When the user logs in, I want to reconstruct the portalLayout the way the user last configured it, restoring portlet size and position.

How is this done?

This is one of the capabilities of our Portal Framework, which is not yet GA but which you can work with through our JumpStart program.

If you decide to roll your own approach, you basically need to remember the positions and re-insert the Portlets in the same order.
