Browser is not prompting to save password for password type fields.

Hi,

We have enabled browser to prompt to ask to save the password for password type fields but it's not asking in case of smartclient password type formitem.

Please let us know what needs to be done to fix this.

Uhh, what mechanism did you use to have the browser prompt for password fields?

We have not done anything explicitly, doesn't browsers does this by themselves for password fields?

Ex- IE has option in Tools > Internet Options > Content > Settings (autocomplete settings) > Ask me before saving passwords.

We have no idea how that settings is intended to work in IE, but if you want to prompt a user before saving a password, you should add JavaScript logic to do this (which will work across all browsers) and not rely on browser-specific settings.
