Unable to open HSQLDB in SmartClient

I got parts of SmartClient running on Windows XP. I was able to open VisualBuilder and see existing datasources in HSQLDB.

Now I have some DDL that I would like to give to HSQLDB so I can have my own database and tables. It was not apparent how to do this or that it was possible.

The problem may be related that I have yet to successfully complete installation. If so, I will wait until that is resolved to expect success.

    Thanks,

    Rick

No reason to learn the HSQL tools for this - you are better off just configuring SmartClient to talk to whatever database you actually want to use and are familiar with maintaining. To do this, just use the Admin Console to enter the hostname, credentials, etc.

I found the HSQLDB 1.8.0.10 jar and was able to get ahold of SQLtool. So, now I can create databases, see them in Admin Console and create datasources for them.

      Thanks.
