It's not impossible that there's some obscure side effect whereby because (say) an IFRAME is unable to load it's expected target URL, it renders incorrectly (wrong size, or similar), and causes some user visible problem which is only apparent in certain browsers, or at certain screen resolutions etc.

If deploying the helpers directory fixes things, presumably some interaction along these lines was responsible. Unfortunately we don't have enough to go on, so as you say, this is all speculation!

Ok so just to clarify, any contents of the smartclientRuntime\isomorphic\system directory is safe to redistribute as part of our product and allow customers to deploy with it and we are not breaching any contract by doing so?

Ok. Perhaps SC should think about renaming the development directory to something less misleading so as not to sound like it is only for development purposes.
