defaultToFirstOption is not working with optionDataSource

Hello.

I am using smartClient V10.0 for my project. I was intending to display the first value of the optionDataSource in a select item box. It retrieves the data, but it does not display on the box. I tested with a sample valueMap , surprsingly it displayed in that map. Can you tell me is it a bug in V10.0 or is there a work around?

Thanks! I got the answer. Is there any way I can retrieve the first record from a dataSource and assign it to the TextField in a Dynamic Form? I appreciate your help.
