I have the impression that SmartClient's data management architecture allows for OODBMSes (object-oriented databases) to be used on the server-side; but I am NOT yet knowledgeable enough to be sure about that ... maybe there are SQL-specific tidbits builtin which prevent the straight-forward use of OODBMSes ? Could someone please confirm that the use of OODBMSes is not only possible, but desirable, too ? Perhaps there are even real life examples out there for an OODBMS backed SmartClient server-side ?
