This has been discussed before.. there's an inescapable tradeoff in placement of the sort indicator: if you ensure that no possible title can ever minorly overlap the indicator, it burns too much space (and people complain).

If you want to tweak how much space is left, see listGrid.sortArrowMenuButtonSpaceOffset.
