File Caching in smartclient

Does smart client caches generated views.
I am trying to upload a file using rest DataSource this DS is required to be accessed from various pages. So, trying to place it in a common location, and reuse it. Is there a possibility that smart client will cache the file throughout the components sharing the upload code?

It's not clear what you're asking. SmartClient components general HTML inside the browser, they don't load it from the server, so there is no way that component-generated HTML would end up as a cached server response.

But you're also saying something about a Rest DS and it's not clear what you have in mind here. Loading the same Rest DS from multiple different SmartClient applications?
