dropdownGrid with showFilterEditor closes when typing in filter

In the dropdownGrid, if you add

pickListProperties:{
    showFilterEditor:true
}

to the 'itemID' field, and then open the pickList, if you try to filter either by typing or by selecting in the middle filter field, the pickList will hide.
