Problem with dependent select

I'm facing a problem similar to the Dependent Select (Grid) in Smart Client 8.3 feature explorer, where during some field change the dependent field is loaded, but the corresponding first record is not displayed automatically in the field.

For example, when i change the values of the 'Division' field, the 'Department' field first record is not displayed automatically in the field, rather than it displays blank.

Please provide any API if exist to solve this issue.

Seems like you are looking for SelectItem.defaultToFirstOption.

Even i tried that 'defaultToFirstOption' but it does nt seems to work. Please provide any other option to achieve this.

If you expect escalation when you have a production problem, start by purchasing a support package.

In the meantime, follow the directions on the forums - you haven't filled in the basic information at all yet.
