Is SmartClient 12.1 end of service

Is SmartClient 12.1 end of service? Will any fix for security vulnerability still be provided in 12.1 stream?

    #2
You were literally told just two days ago that there is no security vulnerability in 12.1:

Since there is no security vulnerability, there is nothing to fix.

However, keep doing these kinds of things and you will get banned from the forums.

Don't threat me like this. We paid you for the product. I am not asking you to fix that. I am asking if SmartClient 12.1 is at end of service. If there is a security vulnerability in the future, will you provide a fix?

We have a long history of immediately fixing security vulnerabilities. Pretty much the best track record in our part of the industry.

Check the blog for the latest end-of-life information and the dates on which specific versions are end-of-lifed.

        https://blog.smartclient.com/upgradi...lder-versions/

However, note that, even if 12.1 was technically end-of-lifed, we actually do provide security fixes sometimes past the end-of-life data.

The issue is, there simply is no security issue, as we have patiently explained multiple times. And yet here you are posting about it yet again.

Regarding paying for the product, yes, when you paid for it, your company signed a contract which explained the terms of support. You (personally) have violated that contract several times now, including by repeatedly posting the same question in multiple ways. This is a huge waste of our resources, and is prohibited in the contract your employer signed.

When we see repeated and wasteful violations of the support contract, we simply contact the company that employs you and explain that, while we will of course honor our obligations under the support contract, you (personally) may no longer file issues, because you repeatedly violated the contract that your employer signed.

We do this very, very rarely, but you are getting quite close to the threshold where we decide to do this.

So, it is of course entirely up to you whether you want to start using the Support service in the correct manner, the agreed-upon manner, or, find out.
