    13.1p Calendar.allowLongEvents feedback

    Hi Isomorphic,

this post mentioned another great, but silently introduced feature, multi-day events. They as well deserve their own blog mention.
I played around with it a bit and found a few things, that are not working yet.

I'll answer to this thread to have better to reference posts.

    Best regards
    Blama

Deleting long events with the "X" of the event does not work.
I do not see any error message in the Developer Console log. Tested with FF147.

      hi Blama and Claudio,

Yes, there were some tricky issues to iron out - we're adding rafts of autotests, and corrections for a number of issues underlying Claudio's reports are already in 15.0, and these will be ported back shortly.

We'll let the feature settle, then we'll announce it.

It is possible to move events to an unexpected position using Drag and Drop.

          Blama,

          1) the close buttons seem to work fine, even in 13.1 - if you see issues, please provide more information
          2) we do see the drag-drop issue, and the reason for it

          We'll get #2 fixed

Tops of normal events are put off by a few pixels, if they start at 0:00.

              Hi Isomorphic,

No problem, we'll backport everything in the next few days - in the meantime, 15.0 has more recent code if you want to test.

On your post #6, from "put off by a few pixels", we were going to say that's the drag-area for creating long-events, like the vertical gap you see to the right of regular events - but of course "cut off" means something entirely different! :) We'll fix that top:-1px for events in the first row - it's not related to long-events, but it's been around for a long time.

                  Hi Isomorphic,

retested here (SNAPSHOT_v15.0d_2026-02-06, also in v13.1p_2026-02-15, tested with FF and Edge, nothing in the Developer Console log):

Sorry, I meant "cut off" of course.

Hi Blama , you're right - in 13.1 it doesn't work in the week view (it works in month and day views, though).
I didn’t notice because I override eventRemoveClick in my application. Good catch!

Following up - all three issues mentioned here have been fixed in 15.0 for tomorrow's builds, and autotests added.

We're still making enhancements and optimizations, and will port the whole back as far as 13.1 when we have everything addressed.
