    SC10 Responsive Layout

I just wanted to confirm with you - this responsive layout on mobile devices - is it only with split planes? Meaning current forms that are designed to look this way via a vlayout/hlayout will need to be modified to use split panes?

Right, you need to start using a SplitPane to get the particular behavior shown in this sample. There is no other way that the framework could reliably detect which components were intended as navigation vs detail.

Ok - so other than that, it should be automatic? For example if I had an already existing set of layouts and I just insert that within a split pane, it should be ok? How is the width/height specification dealt with? If the layout has a specific pixel size, does this matter? If you have more documentation on this behaviour that I can read up on, that would be great

Sure, the SplitPane class is fully documented. Just take a look at the SmartClient Reference in a 10.0 build.

And it looks like we would have to pay for this upgrade again?

You never have to pay for an upgrade "again". But if you have never purchased 10.0 you would need to purchase it - check with your account manager.

:) If we want your new features, then yes, we would need to pay for it. Kind of like how we had to pay for 9.0 in order to get a feature that we had already paid for - but that is another matter. I will ask admin. Thanks/

We would never do that, so please raise this perception with your account admin as well to get that cleared up.
