On clicking he selected item does not get highlighted in version 10.0 libs

    Hello,

We use Smart Client libraries for all UI development in our application; recently I have upgraded the libraries to version 10.0 from Version 8.2. After upgrading the libraries to version 10.0, I notice its not highlighting the selection, However it used to highlight in the previous version 8.2.

Some customers have complained that they are not able to identify whether their item is selected (for subsequent action) or not; that way this is an issue.

Please refer the attached screen shots for more detail

Kindly look at the above issue urgently and let us know when the fix can be expected from you

    Regards,
    Harish

Sorry, it is not possible to troubleshoot screenshots.

If you believe this problem is due to a framework bug rather than a usage issue (which is a common problem encountered on upgrade), please see the FAQ for the information you need to provide for an issue to be looked into.

It looks to be an issue in Smart Client libraries; Our code remains the same the only change I see in the repository is new version (version 10.0) of Smart Client library being deployed in place old version (version 8.2).

Also we face several other issues after upgrading to new version (10.0), We would like to discuss with your engineer on all the issue which may take around 30 to 40 minutes. Please let us know a your phone number possible time so that I will try to contact you on phone. The purpose of the call is to understand where the Error is on many use cases, whether its with libraries or within our code.

      Kindly do the needful.

      Regards,
      Harish

It is extremely common that people encounter issues on upgrade, then ultimately trace the problem to longstanding incorrect usage in application code.

In order to work through these problems via Support, for any issues you believe may be an actual framework bug, you should try to isolate the issue to a minimal, ready-to-run test case that you can submit as a bug report. This process will often point out that the problem is actually in your application code.

If you'd like hands-on assistance with any given problem *before* you have done any work to show that it is an actually a framework issue (as opposed to a problem in your application code), that's available via our Consulting services.
